I love this so much and have done very similar with my kids. One things that helped me a ton was I established 4-ish colors for my kids’ capsule wardrobes and it really helps me process hand-me-downs quickly. Just because a shirt is new with tags, if it’s not in my kid’s set colors, I happily pass it on.

I love the idea of sticking to a handful of colors! That’s such a great way to make sure everything matches.

Hi! What brands do you like to shop for new clothes?

Hi Rachel! Great question. We really like Colored Organics (all their clothing is super soft, the first thing my girls reach for!) but they only go through size 5/6. Monica and Andy (if you look at their warehouse site the prices are much better than their normal website) is also great with larger sizing. For loved ones who ask for gift-giving (especially those who shop in person), I tend to direct them to Little Planet by Carter’s or Little Co. at Kohl’s because those are easy to find. When organic isn’t an option, like for swimwear, Hanna Andersson is at least OEKO-TEX certified to be free from hundreds of chemicals.
